** For your child’s safety, please DO NOT drop your child off before 8:30 am each day. There will be no adult supervision until that time.

** On the last day of the program, from 1:00-2:00, will be our Performance Sharing time. Prior to that, there will be a Gallery Crawl featuring the work of our Visual Art and Creative Writing majors from 12:30-1:00. All students will be a part of the Performance Sharing in some way and we ask that ALL students stay until the end of the program to support their classmates.

** Each moment is packed with instruction. It is very disruptive to both your child and his or her classmates if they are removed early from instruction or arrive late. Please do not remove your child from the program early and please try to have your child here ON TIME (by 9:00 AM)! We ask that you please refrain from making any appointments (doctor, dentist, etc.) during the duration of the program. Failure to participate in all 8 days of the program could jeopardize your child’s alumni status! If your child will be absent for any reason, please email the program Director and Lead Teacher to notify them of your child’s absence. 

Spectrum - Summer 2021

Dear Spectrum Parents & Guardians,  

We have been informed that Spectrum of the Arts will be able to operate in person this summer! 

The dates will be June 7 - 17, 2021 (Mondays through Thursdays ONLY, as CMS buildings are closed on Fridays in the summer). Students can begin drop off at 8:30 am with the program starting at 9:00 am. Pick up will be at 2:30 pm. Transportation is not provided. 

An email will be coming soon to those who are invited back to attend this year's program. This email will contain information regarding payment and registration for your child. Please make sure we have the most recent email on file for you by emailing me at trinettej.atri@cms.k12.nc.us. 

We look forward to seeing you in person in early June 2021! Stay tuned for more information to come, including the location of the program. Stay safe and well!
